Regency Walking Costume with Spencer Jacket — 19th Century Historical Cotton Suit — Pink Striped Crinkle Cotton Regency Ensemble

This refined ladies' costume is an historical reconstruction of an original early 19th-century walking ensemble. The outfit is crafted from lightweight 100% cotton in a delicate pink shade with a classic fine white stripe pattern, while the expressive crinkle texture of the fabric lends the material a noble appearance and practicality.

The ensemble consists of two independent pieces: a graceful cropped jacket (spencer) and a petticoat-skirt with shoulder straps. The spencer features a canonical high-waisted cut, long sleeves with gathering at the shoulder, and a deep plunging V-neckline with a wrap front, while its back is decorated with an authentic rounded peplum and decorative buttons. The natural cotton lining of the jacket guarantees excellent shape retention and wearing comfort. The skirt, featuring gathers at the back, secures with a button and straps, while the split front portion of the spencer bodice is conveniently adjustable to the figure using hidden ties. The skirt itself is tailored in a single layer without a lining; therefore, to recreate a historically accurate silhouette, a specialized Regency undergarment is recommended to be worn underneath.
